Back into the venerable 172 for the duration of the IFR rating now. Did my S model checkout this morning with my CFII. That should cover the P model as well. Man, I realize just how much I enjoy having TCAS now that I don’t have it. Yeah, the Cirrus flies itself, but’s it’s a helluva safer airplane and definitely adds to your situational awareness…call me newage, but I think electronics and gadgets in the cockpit are a good thing if used correctly, alas, if I want to learn Instruments right, I need to do it in a 6 pack environment….hmm, 6 pack, where’d I put my beer?
